Dear Michael and Corinne,

What an exciting time as you plan your wedding day! We are truly looking forward to a weekend with family and friends who will gather to wish you well as you begin your journey through life as man and wife.

Michael, as our only child, you have brought much pleasure and happiness into our lives. And you continue to bring us joy with your engagement to Corinne, whom we adore.

In our lifetimes, we each experience a small number of truly landmark moments. They start small like riding a two-wheeler bicycle or winning the “Pinewood Derby”. They grow in power and significance; we remember the moment when a doctor told us “it's a boy,” and then handed us that perfect little life that we created.

And you both will remember the moment when you looked into the eyes of the most loving, caring, and giving individual that you've ever known and realize you have found true love. A moment like this and the commitment which follows should be celebrated to its fullest.

It is with great pleasure that we say congratulations to you both... may you share a healthy and happy future together.

Love,
Mom and Dad

Our very first chance to meet Mike occurred when the Seltzers— Tasha, Lucia, Gabe and Shal— travelled to Athens, Georgia four years ago to see Corinne and get a chance to introduce ourselves to Mike. We had heard only wonderfull things about Mike from Corinne and were prepared to meet someone special. He was even more than that. Before our first day, Mike had bought an airplane to fly with Gabe and Lucia in the park. It was literally an “inside the park” home run. Gabe and Lucia loved Mike from the first moment they set eyes on him, and Tasha and I could not believe how generous of spirit and mature Mike was. We find it hard to believe that young men like Mike still exist.

One of the first things that Mike said to us was that he always wanted a brother or sister when he was growing up. Gabe and Lucia volunteered for the assignment immediately and have thought of Mike as an older brother from the very first days. They have grown to love him more with each day and look forward to seeing him every chance they get. As soon as they hear him come through the door the house is filled with screams of “Mike, Mike, Mike” No rock star would get such royal treatment. He has his own fan club at the Seltzer household, and that extends to the adults as well. We love him for his honesty, his warmth, his good judgement and his outlook on life. Plus, it is wonderfull to have someone with his base of computer knowledge and skills who is willing to share and help out.

We love him even more for the way he treats Corinne, and we could not ask for a better partner in life for her. It is a special gift to see someone who is so open with his feelings of love for our daughter, Corinne.

We love you, Mike, and this joyfull wedding will only codify what we have known in our hearts for quite some time now— you are our brother and our son.

Love,
Shal and Tasha

As Mike's cousin, I've known him all his life, but only got to meet Corinne this past weekend. What a joy and a delight! She's beautiful, intelligent and very sweet. While I have an extremely high opinion of Mike, I still think he's “marrying up.”

May they continue to be this joyously happy all the days of their lives.

Love,
Pam Dotson
